The bullfighting takes place at Las Ventas, the biggest bullring in the world. The bullfighting stadium at Las Ventas is considered by "aficionados" as the Mecca of bullfighting. A bullfight usually has six bulls on the card, with three teams facing them in turn in six individual fights. The opening stages of each encounter between the matador and his team are designed to weaken the bull, and then at the end the matador is left one to one with the bull for the kill.

The event starts at 5pm in the Winter and 7pm in the Summer finishing two hours later, so careful planning of your trip is necessary if you want to see this spectacle.
