ARMY MUSEUM TOUR

Founded some 180 years ago, the Museum houses an enormous collection of arms and military curiosites that reflect Spain´s bloody history including the famous sword of El Cid and the cross carried by Christopher Columbus in during his voyages to the new world.It also has impressive sections dealing specifically with the Reconquista, the Wars of Succession,Peninsular Wars and the Civil War including an impressive model replica of the siege of the Alcazar in Toldedo in 1936. Tour includes entrance, English speaking military history guide and takes around 2 hours.

NAVAL MUSEUM

The Museum gives a history of Spanish sea power though its collection of paintings, replicas, maps and flags that span over 500 years from the Conquista of the Americas through to the defeat at Trafalgar in 1805 and the humiliation of the War of 1898 .
